Whichever way you got to this stage in your career, well done!

You are now managing individual as part of a team, and they are designing and delivering learning.

This capability development pathway focusses on what you need to know to effectively oversee learning design and development, without necessarily being an experienced learning designer or developer yourself.

At present, there are five modules that comprise the learning and development manager’s capability development pathway. If you complete all five modules, you will be awarded a Level 1 Learning and Development Manager certificate/badge. If you add on individual coaching and mentoring to the online learning, you will level up to the Platinum badge.

More modules are being developed and will be available later in the year for you to continue to extend your skills around managing a learning and design team. If you want to know more, or you want to develop in other areas, you may also want to complete some of the modules from any of the other pathways.  

What else can I do to develop my manager’s skills?

Take advantage of the ‘pick and-mix’ approach

Some or all of the modules in the Learning and Development Manager pathway would be a fantastic starting point, and working with one of our learning designers to level up to Platinum would be amazing, but we also offer you the opportunity to mix and match online training with personal training, coaching and mentoring.

In-person training

You may already be very capable in learning design and could have a few years of experience under your belt. When you look at these modules, you may wonder if you need to start from the beginning, or are there just a few specific things that you want to work on.

Book in for some tailored and specific 1-on-1 specific training. This will be time and money well-spent.
